Benjamin Queen is Penning Moxie

Benjamin Queen will write the script for Moxie, a musical to be directed by Jon Chu at DreamWorks. American Beauty producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen of the Jinks/Cohen Company are producing.

Set in modern day San Francisco, Moxie is a teen love story that was pitched by 24-year-old USC grad Chu, who is also directing the remake of Bye Bye Birdie for Columbia Pictures and Red Wagon Prods. No other plot details were disclosed.

Queen is a consultant on Century City, a CBS midseason replacement show, and has a blind pilot deal at 20th Century Fox. His script Slanted and Enchanted was also recently picked up by producer Bonnie Curtis and is currently out to directors.
