Dennis Quaid is in talks to star in "Synergy" for Universal Pictures. The project is being developed by Paul and Chris Weitz, who wrote and directed 2002's About a Boy. Paul Weitz is directing, with Chris Weitz, Andrew Miano and Kerry Kohansky producing.
Quaid would play a 49-year-old ad salesman struggling with major life changes such as a corporate takeover, a hard-charging young boss, a pregnant wife and his teenage daughter going off to college.
Quaid's upcoming projects include the sci-fi thriller The Day After Tomorrow and action-adventure The Flight of the Phoenix, both for 20th Century Fox.
