Executive producer Frank Marshall tells Sci Fi Wire that Frank Darabont is still writing the script for Indiana Jones 4. The filmmakers are making sure that the sequel lives up to the franchise.
"It's basically the same kind of story that we had in the first three movies," he said. "It's up to us to maintain the integrity of the project. That's why it's taking a long time on the script. We want the story to be good enough."
Producer Kathleen Kennedy also said that she expects Harrison Ford, director Steven Spielberg and producer George Lucas to defer their usual salaries in lieu of back-end deals to ensure a reasonable budget.
